This is a pesky ff crack that keeps opening up. First I glued this mishapen ff crack. Picture not found yet. It looked fine but then after a few days itseperated again. Then I use another method and it wasn't quite right but the shape was looking pretty normal. Sso I glued it again and it was pretty nice, but eventually it started separating. Next idea, how to reenforce the inside with a little piece of fiber. I used a flexiable piece of plastic, then tape folder over and attached the fiber to the tape. Sttached a couple of strings so I could position it . Then clamped it overnight. Pulled the plastic piece off of the fiber and ugh, instead of the tape coming out with the plastic it was still stuck to the fiber, perhaps some glue squeesed onbetween the tape and the fiber..
Then using a mirror and a little bent wire I carefully worked the tape off the fiber. Hopefully that will be pretty strong and keep the ff crack from separating. IMG 20260810 102558 455 | IMG 20260813 150016 044 | IMG 20260813 152956 719 | IMG 20260813 154742 306 |
Note: In hinesite I should have made a mold for the outside of the top and clamped the fiber and it's jig to that, it would have been a tad easier easier. |
